Is Your Brain About to Explode?

Our mental, physical, and spiritual self is intimately related to our brain functioning.  Much of what we fuel ourselves with, including our thoughts, can harm or heal this delicate and miraculous command center.  Aspartame, which is structurally similar to glutamate, shows up in many of our foods.  Glutamate is an excitatory neurotransmitter necessary for learning and proper neuron activity.  BUT, according to Prof. Robert Sapolsky at Stanford University, too much glutamate, or Aspartame which the brain uses as glutamate, can excite our neurons so much that they burn out, explode, crash and die.  Some examples of exploding neurons correlate to strokes and epilepsy.  We all have a tremendous amount of influence over the health of our body, mind and spirit.  What are you putting in your body today?
