Music can Prevent Dementia

According to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, playing a musical instrument and dancing were among the best activities to reduce the risk of dementia.  Songs and melodies running through our minds gives a vivid charge to memories associated with those songs.  The process of listening to, and interpreting music, stimulates both hemispheres of the brain in a synchronistic way.  What if you could spend five extra minutes today dancing or listening to your favorite music?  What could you reshape about your future if you took that five extra minutes every day?
